Michael P. Wolf’s article “Lien Waiver” is published by the American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council

Riezman Berger, P.C. attorney Michael P. Wolf’s recent article entitled “Lien Waiver” explaining the basics of lien waivers, as well as the pitfalls encountered by subcontractors with respect to signing away one’s rights through a lien waiver, has been published by the American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council in their monthly publication, The Voice. “Lien Waiver” helps to alert subcontractors as to the implications of lien waivers, and sets forth scenarios which may result in subcontractors losing all rights to collect for their labor and materials. Michael Wolf’s practice centers on civil and commercial litigation, construction law and real estate transactions. Michael has tried numerous cases to verdict before both juries and judges and his professional associations and memberships include the Midwest Council of the American Subcontractors Association, the Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis, the American Bar Association (Forum on the Construction Industry), the Missouri Bar’s Construction Law Committee, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (Construction Law Committee). Michael is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri, numerous federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals in the Sixth and Eighth Circuits.
Michael is a graduate of Lynchburg College, where he graduated magna cum laude and received high honors in political science, and the University Of Missouri School Of Law. During law school, Michael served as a member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution and Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, in addition to receiving awards in advocacy. Following law school, Michael clerked for the Honorable Kent E. Karohl of the Missouri Court of Appeals. He has lectured extensively on various matters and published articles in several legal and business publications, including the Journal of the Missouri Bar, Missouri Lawyers Weekly and St. Louis Small Business Monthly.
