Personal Injury, Wrongful Death & Workers’ Compensation Litigation
Suzanne M. Besnia’s litigation practice is focused primarily on representing accident victims in personal injury cases and representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims. Suzy has 24 years of experience dealing with all phases of litigation and arbitration in injury cases. While her practice is now limited to civil personal injury and worker’s compensation claims, historically Suzy has also litigated insurance coverage disputes, claims of bad faith, title insurance issues, and multiple issues involving steel pipe performance.

Suzy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University, and is licensed in Missouri and Illinois. Prior to joining Riezman Berger, she clerked both at the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Honorable Robert Crist, as well as the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, for the Honorable William Hungate.

In addition to her work with the firm, which has included serving as a managing partner of the firm from 2005 to 2007, Suzy is very active in the St. Louis community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mentor St. Louis and she has been a Mentor in the St. Louis Public School District since 2000. She currently serves on the Mission and Outreach Committee of the First Congregational Church. Past volunteer service includes serving as the Co-chair of the annual Marathon Pasta Party for the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon from 2003 through 2007, Girl’s Inc. activities committee, the Wydown Fortnightly Board as well as President of the Board of the First Congregational Church Preschool.
