Robert G. Oesch has practiced in the fields of business and estate planning since 1989, and chairs the Trusts and Estates practice (encompassing both estate planning and trust and estate administration) at Riezman Berger. His scope of expertise includes all aspects of estate planning and trust and estate administration, including the use of trusts for a wide variety of purposes, planning to minimize gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes, administering probate estates and trusts, preparing gift and estate tax returns, creating and implementing business entities and business succession plans, and the use of guardianships. Bob has practiced before the Internal Revenue Service for many years, submitted Private Letter Ruling Requests, and represented clients in various tax audits. He enjoys serving as family advisor and counselor at law for a large number of families in Missouri and Illinois. His personal interests include reading, bicycling, hiking, motorcycling, skiing and leadership roles at his church.

Bob received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1983, and his law degree from the Washington University School of Law in 1986. He was a member and associate editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly. Bob is licensed to practice in Missouri and before the Internal Revenue Service. His professional memberships include the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section as well as the Tax Section of the American Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He also serves on the Planned Giving Advisory Committee of the Saint Louis Zoo and the Red Cross of Missouri Planned Giving Council. In 2008, Bob was honored with the Professional Advisors Legacy Award given by the St. Louis Planned Giving Advisory Council.
