Creditors’ Rights

The bankruptcy and debtor-creditor practice of our law firm is one of the fastest growing areas of our practice on a local, regional and national level. Our experience includes creditors’ work, debtors’ work and matters involving the powers and rights of the United States Bankruptcy Court throughout the United States. We handle Chapter 11 Reorganizations as well as non-bankruptcy workout plans. We have a Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 creditor practice, as well as handling cases for debtors faced with complex or unique problems or involving high profile debtors.

In our creditor practice we have taken an extremely aggressive posture with debtors’ attorneys engaged in bulk filings. This has resulted in the prompt and efficient resolution with the debtors’ bar of issues such as insurance coverage, feasibility of the debtor’s plan, and motions for relief from stay.

Similarly, with respect to collection litigation, Riezman Berger aggressively handles subrogation actions, replevins, collections, finance lawsuits involving state and federal statutes, foreclosures and other litigation involving the consumer, including defense of class action lawsuits and lender liability claims.
